New Releases I Hope to Read in April 2026
Hi hi hi!

Happy welcome to a new New Releases I Hope to Read post, say hello to April!
I am sorry, how is it almost April? Seriously 2026, chill.
So yeah, how was March? Well, I guess it was good, but it just flew by. Not much exciting happened this month, or well maybe I could have done exciting things if I had a better grasp of the months/days, haha. There were some fun Pokemon Go events my hubby and I participated in (either with the two of us or going for a community in the city near us). I started some gardening by adding some new plants in the garden and in pots around the back and front yard. Added some new wall decorations to the walls (and got some compliments as well, which delighted me). I did a ton of baking. I am now really trying to make Friday bake day. I want to at least want to bake one thing. So far I baked a bunch of cakes, and this Friday I want to bake some brownies. Maybe a new recipe instead of going for the one I love. We will see!
My hubby and I visited IKEA as I needed some new KALLAX for the attic library + I had some other things that I wanted to get. It is the first visit, we also later want to get some new BILLY for our LEGO (and plushies). And maybe add some new fronts to the BESTA in the living room.
And we enjoyed the weather. And were confused by it. There were moments that it was nice spring weather, and then there were times it was cold as heck. It is that time of the year. Throughout the day when the sun is around it is often nice, but when the sun disappears? Grab your coat, your sweaters and all the warm things again. I cannot wait for things to settle so we can just wear one outfit in a day, haha.
Coco and I also went shopping at a big shopping mall in Library #4’s city. I was a bit worried as lately she has been yipping and yapping and borking when she goes out in her doggy car, and while she had her moments for most she was just acting sweet. She really had fun sniffing all the scents. At times she seemed to forget all around her, but when I stood still she was there in a heartbeat, sitting next to me (CUTEEEEE). I found some new clothes for the warmer days and cannot wait to start wearing them (my hubby in the meantime is wishing even harder for warmer weather now, he loves my new clothes that much).
I was also stunned at how expensive ice cream in ice cream shops are now. I remember last year a scoop of ice cream was just around 2 euro, these days it is around 2.40 to 2.70 per scoop. I found almost 2 euro already much, but this? Insane.
And book-wise/reading-wise. Well, I had some DNF, but I also had a lot of fabulous reads. ARCs, my own books, library books. It was so good!
This new month is filled to the brim with new releases I just WANT and NEED. I also got several Dutch books I am eagerly looking forward to (new Linda van Rijn for instance) + a ton of awesome looking English books. The Dutch books will take a bit longer as most of those will have to wait until they appear in the library, but I got a few I will definitely be buying (again Linda van Rijn, haha). And the English books well, I will have to see which one to get first and then the others later. Oh, how fun it would be to have unlimited budget, haha. Most hyped from English are: Princess Academy GN, Anxietyland, and Lonely Planet Don’t Hike Naked in Switzerland.
What are your most anticipated reads of the upcoming month? Anything you think I should add (always looking for more horror/romance)? Let me know in the comments below~

SO many awesome books on your list. I love the variety too! Anxietyland is one that I’m really looking forward to reading.
