Sunday’s TBR Updates ~ 1-3-2026

Hi all!

Happy Sunday everyone! Welcome to a new Sunday’s TBR Updates!

So this week was mostly your day to day stuff, with the addition of me having to recover from Sunday’s visit to my dad. Especially Monday was a bad bad day. Still not entirely OK after a week, but doing much better, thankfully. I think it helps that I decided to just not go for a while anymore + talked to my aunt/uncle and that they will be there whenever I feel good enough to visit again.
This week was also a lot of Pokemon Go-ing. I wanted to get a fancy pin/badge and you had to check-in at a meet-up 3 times at raid hour time, so my hubby and I popped by three times, eventually even a fourth time as we couldn’t resist more raids. Then on Saturday (and maybe today if the weather isn’t too bad as yesterday was cold and meh) we walked around for more raids + Pokemon catching/shiny checking.
I also popped by Library #4 on Friday to grab my reservations + check for some more books. Plus, on Friday I also baked a chocolate/vanilla cake + got some cookie dough (with chocolate and caramel bits) ready which I plan to bake today.
So yeah, health-wise not the best week, but other than that I had a good week.
Reading-wise, good good week! Read some fabulous books (manga or physical stack or books next to my bed) and found some new favs. Of course, there were also some DNF, sadly.

What did I read from my TBR? Vanilla (rushed ending, but the rest was a delight), Funny Factopia (wanted more funny/wacky stuff, but still oodles of fun), Unbelievable Soccer (this was such a good fun read), In Venezuela (Palin did it again, what a delight to read and see), Professor Prank 2 (hilarious), Sofie en de monsterjagers (not that original, but I love the style/way it was written), Circus (omg this was fire), Regenwouden (learned some new things, loved the art), Freeze (I expected better by this writer), Mijn mama sport (sweet and adorable), A Meerkat Diary (dies of cuteness, this was just so fun to read and I will be looking for more books by this person).

I tried and dropped (and at least tried a chapter or so)? Cornish Time (yawn, could also benefit from photographs), The Art of Drag (had expected more drag as now and not the history of mime and theatre).

Here is a sparkly shiny fun new stack of books! Let’s see if my mood is into these books, I am still not entirely sure what my mood exactly is, haha. Normally it is quite clear and firm on what it wants to read and now I am just getting shrugs. But I do hope to read some of these! Plus, of course the two books on my birthday stack as well.

Thank you all for reading + thank you all for the massive amount of love this week, I really appreciate everyone’s comments, shares, likes, and views. Thank you! hugs I want to wish everyone a very happy and good weekend and week, enjoy your books + whatever plans you have!

    1. It is fun! Though it is getting a bit less because so much is behind paid tickets. 🙁 Thank you! So far my TBR is a bit neglected after he disappointed me, but I hope to get back to it in these last days of the week~ 🥰
