Waiting on Wednesday ~ Princess Academy: The Graphic Novel by Shannon Hale + Victoria Ying
Evening all~!

A happy bouncy welcome to a new Waiting on Wednesday. On that note, can anyone tell me how it is only Wednesday? It feels much further in the week, haha.
This week a nostalgic one, a series I really loved back when it came out, a series that was fun and wonderful, and a series that is now getting a graphic novel. Or well, the first book is at least getting an adaptation to GN format. Say hello to Princess Academy by Shannon Hale, and art by Victoria Ying! I am so so so so so so x1000 excited about this one, the cover looks really good and I am curious how well things will be adapted as sometimes things get lost, so I am just hoping everything flows and important bits are there. I cannot wait until April 7th when this one releases.
Did you read the Princess Academy series? What did you think? Are you also hyped for this adaptation? Let me know in the comments~!
The New York Times bestselling and Newbery-Honor winning classic, Princess Academy, by Shannon Hale, is reimagined as a graphic novel with stunning art from illustrator Victoria Ying.
Miri lives high atop Mount Eskel where, for generations, her ancestors have lived a simple life, working in the quarry. But everything changes when word arrives that the prince of the kingdom will choose his princess from among the village girls.
A makeshift academy is set up on the mountain and every eligible girl must attend and learn how to become a proper princess. Soon Miri finds herself confronted with a harsh academy mistress, bitter competition among the girls, and her own conflicting desires. Being chosen could give her everything she ever wanted, but does Miri really want to leave her home and family behind for a royal life?
