Have you found a book that you think might be a 2026 favourite?
Haha, probably yes. Last year I only had 3 five star plus books at that date, but this year I have 14. Yup. It’s been a fantastic year so far. So I think I will do a top 3 instead of a favourite, because that is already hard enough, haha.

These three were definitely my favs! First a sexy swoony steamy (and a bit dangerous) adult choose your own adventure book with great characters and tons of story. Second a manga that had a great surprise in it that had me giggling in joy. And lastly a dark mysterious M/M read with great characters and a terrifying house.

Any least favourite book of the year?
Well, as I say each year I don’t keep track of my DNF, but let me see what books I rated low this year. I actually have 3 books that I rated 1 star (which is the lowest this year, last year I had 3 books rated 0.5 stars).
First up we have a manga that was already annoying me because the chapter illustrations showed lots of affection and love and we don’t see that in the manga, but with this third volume the love interest totally goes against the girl he had to marry and he decides to rape her because he believes she is cheating on him/is a slut. Which she wasn’t, she was a virgin. And he went on til she passed out and bled. Yeah. That is just eww, no, fuck, nope. Next up on the 1 star list is a manga that was said to be BASED on the game but didn’t mention you actually HAD to have played the game. So I was confused, weirded out, and not amused. And lastly we have a graphic novel with an artstyle that made keeping people apart hard, dialogue that felt stiff, time jumps without warnings, and more.

Most read genre?
This year I don’t have Storygraph because it just annoyed me I had to keep deleting all my shelves and then adding a new upload (yes, that is how you have to do it if you don’t keep track of things all the time). And I just cannot keep track of two sites the same time. So I have no clue what my most read genre is this year. I would say Manga. But it can also be horror.

A book that surprised me?

This one! I wasn’t sure what to expect but dang it was terrifying. I kinda want to read on but also want to save the rest for Halloween!

A book that has come out in 2026 that I haven’t yet read?
Haha, quite a few actually because I have a budget and not all books are cheap. Here are three books I hope to get this year!

One goal you made that you’re succeeding at?
As each year I don’t really do goals. Other than not caring what people say about my reading + not looking too much at my blog stats. Both are going fine. Though I did have one moment that I just had to look at my stats and I am still confused how things work, haha.

One goal that you need to focus on?
Stay calm and just read on! Haha. And also try to relax on blogging which is going well, though haha, currently my little blog is all full until June with June filling up fast. XD But I am taking it easy in regards to reviewing (I already didn’t review everything but now I am even more relaxed about it) + posting in the evenings (I select a couple of evenings each week that I want to do an evening post for).
