HOLY FUCKITY FUCK. This was amazing.

I came across this one when searching for some new books and I am hooked. This is probably going to be one of my fav series of 2026 if the rest is as good and OMG as the first volume!

In this one we meet a boy who was thinking of jumping (or at least entertaining the idea) hears from his classmate about 100 ghost stories and is interested. From that point we get him telling us the reader ghost stories, gruesome ones that is. Not just your tame cute ghost stories you may hear or read at times. No be prepared for nightmares.

This first volume has 10 ghost stories (so I am guessing there will be around 10 volumes in total given that we will be reading 100 stories, unless something happens which I also wouldn’t mind) and be prepared for a lot of fucked up things. From a cubby fulfilling wishes including if you want someone piercings pukes or a guy making a clayman and that going wrong to a girl visiting her friend and having a bad experience to much more. I loved each and every of the stories and I am glad they weren’t your typical 100 ghost stories that I have read in several other manga throughout the years. These are NOT TAME. These are terrifying. Scary. Gory. I am curious where the boy gets his ideas.

Oh, and I am also curious if he is speaking to us, as the reader, or if he has a camera or something else around and is streaming this. Hopefully we find out!

I am also definitely keeping an eye out on the room of the boy to see if anything changes. I have read enough manga to know this may happen. And at one point something did happen, it was small but something strange happened. I am curious what more is going to happen as we get further along.

The art is perfect for these stories. A bit weird, a bit strange, a bit spooky, a bit crazy. Perfect! Plus, the way the author draws the gory scenes, perfect. OK, my stomach my not approve, but I do. Haha.

So read this if you don’t mind your manga gory and gruesome. I will definitely read this one further.
