Review: Funny FACTopia
The newest Factopia book this time specially made for World Book Day 2026!
I was so worried that I wouldn’t be able to get this one! It is a World Book Day book and that means I will have to pray to get it as Amazon is the only one to have them and that site is very finnicky. This one was all OK until the release day. When I ordered it the page mentioned there was a 6-7 month delivery time, which generally means that the book isn’t in stock. Then 2 days after the book disappeared from Amazon. Imagine my feeling. Then the next day the Amazon package came in with my books, and also this one. I was really doing a dance!
Before I start with all the good because I really enjoyed this one, I thought this would be funnier. More wacky. More crazy. At times facts made me laugh and I found them silly, but a lot didn’t feel that weird or silly to me. I had expected more bizarre/weird things, more facts about epic pranks or jokes done by people, mistakes people made that went into history, that kind of stuff. I think it would be better to just call it Tiny FACTopia rather than Funny.
But I did had fun with this tiny book full of photographs + illustrations, routes, and facts. The series is just so much fun and I am glad to add this one to my collection. There are facts about animals, the planet, about items, about history, and more. Like wombats and pooing cubes. Or how armour was cleaned in the Middle Ages. Or about space stuff. There are a ton of facts and I even learned some new things as I read which always makes me happy!
Plus, the routes! You can go to normal route, straight forward. Just flip the pages. Which is what I do because my ADHD just goes chaotic if I try the routes, though I do try at times, haha. But I love that you can just pick what you want. You can follow the trail to learn more about that certain fact and it will lead your through the book. I find it very creative. Plus, the routes on the pages also do their own thing. Sometimes this means you have to turn the page! Fun!
All in all, while I had expected more haha, I am still very happy I was able to add this one to my collection!
