Sunday’s TBR Updates ~ 26-4-2026

Hi!!

Happiest of weekends to all (and happy King weekend to my Dutch readers). Welcome to a new Sunday’s TBR Updates!

This week was lots of taking it easy (and some days I spend a few hours in bed in the afternoon) between doing day to day stuff. Despite the pain/tiredness I did have a fun week. On Friday Coco and I had a fun afternoon trip to a nearby garden centre and treated myself to some new plants + three gorgeous decorations for the garden/the walls + I popped by a store selling beads but also jewellery and picked some beads for new bracelets (which turned out ADORABLE). On Saturday I visited Library #3, my hubby treated me to a lot of new fun baking stuff that I wanted/needed + a book. And today I am spending the day resting. Oh, and I also baked! Three things, cookies! Stroopwafelboterkoek! Arretjescake!
Oh, and we bought, for quite cheap at a discount store, a doggy pool. We want to see if we can lure Coco in it when it is hot, haha. She isn’t much for water, so we will see. We are now practicing with the pool dry in our living room to get her comfortable to it. So hugs (I can sit in the pool) or standing (my hubby is too big, haha), lots of treats, some fun tricks to get her practicing going out and in without our help. She had fun, let’s hope she still has fun when there is water in it.
And well, I got some extra stress as well, so I could use some good luck wishes. On Thursday I popped up a new ad on Marktplaats.nl for a book I didn’t like but is very very recent so I thought someone else wanted it, a few hours later someone responded. And until that point it was fine. Yesterday I popped it over at a pickup point to be delivered to that person’s pickup point, only to get a message on the site today by the buyer that they were wondering what was going on as they got a vastly different item. I told them that isn’t my package (as I put it in a very remarkle box) and that I would check it out. I couldn’t pop by the pickup point yesterday as it closed at 5, but I will check on Monday. According to my track and trace it should be at her pickup point, but I will ask at my local pickup point to see if they can see if it is truly there. Or missing. ARGHHH. I don’t like this. I just hope everything turns out right.
Reading-wise, well, with all my relaxing I was able to read plenty. From my stack. From books next to my bed. Some ComicsPlus stuff and ARCs. And also the newest Uketsu book which arrived this week (and this time it did arrive, the previous box was empty so we had to contact Amazon for a replacement). It was a good reading week!

What did I read from my TBR?  Kinki Region (OMG This was so amazing), Rozen Maiden 5 (I love how the story continues and seeing more and more things added), My Little Museum Rome (cute, adorable, and I had fun with the museum), My Sister the Werebeast (I hate the absent parent trope, but I did love our little girl and her powers and her sisters kicking ass as well), Martens is de beste (we need more books about female soccer players, this was fun), Mbappé is de beste (fun and interesting), Supa Nova (the MC was SO annoying), De woudgeest van weleer (gorgeous art, eh story), Het meisje in het meer (exciting, but the ending ruined it), Tarzan (so hilarious, I laughed a lot).

I tried and dropped (and at least tried a chapter or so)? De ballerina van Auschwitz (didn’t like how the girl was lamenting about herself/her wish, and when I skipped to the end to see who survived her comments on suicide were horrendous), Het ommetje (not in the right headspace).

Here is a sparkly new stack with some new books and some leftovers! I am excited about this stack~ Here is to hoping I got good luck with my in regards to my mood, haha.

Stack of books

And that is the end of this post! Thank you thank you for reading it + for all the love this past week. I also reached an amazing new all time views goals and I am so proud of that, so thank you all who keep on following, reading, sharing, and commenting. hugs I want to wish everyone the bestest of week with all the best books! Enjoy!
