Sunday’s TBR Updates ~ 5-4-2026

Welcome all to a new Sunday’s TBR Updates and a happy Easter and Sunday to all!

So this week was at start a pretty OK week with my day to day stuff, but then around Wednesday my peri decided that now is the time to get cramps and oh yes it is coming as well (early). And the cramps were so bad I could do some stuff but had to spend time in the bed a lot as well (or sitting calmly in my chair which my ADHD didn’t like that much, haha). Today I am still in pain, but it is getting less now things are calming down. In between pain I did manage to visit all my libraries (3 of them I want to thank my hubby for as he brought me to them and 1 I dragged myself to, haha) + also buy some plants for the garden (there was a sale and it is spring and I need plants) + bake stuff (cookies, cookies, more cookies, and two cakes) + give a part of the baked goods to my neighbours who are always happy to eat my food. But yeah, a lot of lying/sitting and not doing too much, I hope this isn’t going to be an every month thing, I was so happy when the bad cramps stopped when I hit 20 and I don’t want them back.
But hey, that meant I could read a lot, well if I wasn’t in too much pain. And I read from my stack, a lot seriously a lot of manga, and some books that are next/in/around my nightstand. It was a good reading week!

What did I read from my TBR? Murder at the Ivy Hotel (it had some good moments but sometimes a bit boring), Pannenkoeken & Co (this one made me so so hungry, yum), Beste Weerwolfvakantie ooit (this was quite fun though sometimes was just lacking), GameHelden tegen de ninja’s (zoooo cool, I really like it), Nerd Alert (some annoyances and I didn’t like how the 12-year old used AI to ask it).

I tried and dropped (and at least tried a chapter or so)? Het geheim van de verdwenen katten (the MC annoyed me). Dolle Mina (felt more like a manifest than a book, got a bit bored).

Here is a new stack. As you can see on the stack I got a lot of new books from the libraries I visited and also a new Libristo haul came in and I added some of those books on the stack. It is a lot. But since my health is so iffy lately I am glad that there is so much choice.
