Good evening!

Happy Wednesday, hope everyone is having a good day/good week! Welcome to a new Waiting on Wednesday!

I just LOVE the sound of this book and I just had to put it on my list for May! In this book we meet animals who are pretty close but NOT the same. Like turtles and tortoises or crocodiles and gators. I am curious what other animals we will meet and see what makes them different from the other (in some cases easy of course like tigers and leopards, but in some it will be a bit harder). Plus, the art looks like such a fun one!

All in all, just a week to wait and then see when I can get this one from either Libristo or Amazon, hopefully soon though!

Pretty Close, but Not the Same by Meg Fleming + Steph Stilwell, various animals from crocodiles to tigersIn this funny and fascinating picture book, learn about pairs of similar animals that are often confused for each other, and what makes them different!

Tortoises and turtles, leopards and tigers, and crocodiles and gators all have similarities. But these easily confusable creatures are NOT the same!

Did you know that a dolphin has a bottlenose, while a porpoise has a snout? Or that a manatee’s tail is shaped like a paddle, and a dugong’s like a whale? Or that monkeys have tails, but apes do not?

With humorous text and hilarious illustrations, this book invites curious readers to discover what makes these animals special!
