Sunday’s TBR Updates ~ 24-5-2026
Hello all!

Happiest Sundays to all! Welcome to a new shiny Sunday’s TBR Updates!
Well, my health wasn’t doing well. Perimenopause is kicking my ass lately. Sudden bursts of nausea or constantly feeling urgh. So another week with trying to do a bit more but also lying down on bed. Which helps with my TBR I guess, plus making more progress in Hello Kitty Island Adventures. On Tuesday I was able to convince my hubby to take me to Library #1 so I could pick up some new books + get that one reservation that finally (after 3 weeks of just being somewhere) arrived. On Friday I had a fun shopping afternoon with Coco and I bought some new clothes for the summer (which has finally arrived, whoo and also melts ), plus some fun other things that I couldn’t resist, we really had a lot of fun and later on we shared some chicken nuggets, which is a super rare treat for her so she was excited. And oh my gosh, did she get hugs and love from everyone (the pet store even wanted her as a mascot, haha), the cutest I found the little kids who walked up to me to ask me if they could pet her and what her name was. And yesterday I popped by the local garden centre as I needed some stuff against the damned snails/slugs + I wanted to buy some fun items with the giftcard I got from my father in law 2 weeks ago. I got a cute plant, two plant brackets/hooks, a new baby cactus in a cute pot. And I still have a few euros left on it so if I see something later on I can get that! And today? Well, hanging up those brackets to the fence, potting the plant in the flower pot I also got from my father in law, and then just trying not to melt and enjoy some books!
Reading-wise, well, as you may guess a fantastic week with lots and lots of good books!
What did I read from my TBR? Don’t Hike Naked in Switzerland (Humorous, interesting, and oh so fun, recommended), AdventureMice (I just love Egypt so this one is special and I had so much fun with the adventure and I want to visit), UFO’s (wished for more abductions but a fun read nonetheless), The Boy Who Didn’t Want to Die (such a WOW read that made me cry), Stilte van herinneringen (sometimes it lingered away from the experiences she had with elderly, but good read), De backroom files (the glitch monster wasn’t that scary, it felt a bit too long-winded, but the gnomes were terrifying), Amazing Facts (fun and interesting and I loved the illustrations), Knots aan de andere kant van de wereld (loved seeing them go on adventure, meet new animals/plants, and I love the friendship), De kleur van rijst (I am glad I picked up this book, this was a good read, though I wanted more photographs), Mama ik ben een jongen (wow, what a book, I love how supportive the family was, hated how there were so many problems with getting things done), Minecraft 1 (oh my gosh this was silly and very entertaining), Jamie Oliver Cookies (had fun reading it, but the recipe could be better).
I tried and dropped (and at least tried a chapter or so)? Volg me (didn’t click with the MC).
Here is a new stack, with Caretaker and Brigands on it again, I just wasn’t in the mood for them this week. Plus, also new library books and the other books from my Libristo haul! So happy with this fun stack + I got some great books next to my bed that I also want to give a shot.

And that concludes this post, thank you all for reading, wish me luck with the new stack (and my health). Oh, and let me know in the comments what you think I should read first on my stack! And also once again thanks for all the love this week, I really appreciate it! Plus, I loved that I got a new achievement from WordPress, namely World Domination, over 150+ countries in the world have visited my blog, I would so love to see which ones and then thus also see who hasn’t visited yet! To end, I want to wish everyone a good week/weekend, hopefully you all have fun with your books!
