Sunday’s TBR Updates ~ 3-5-2026
Hi hi!

Happy Sunday! Welcome to a new Sunday’s TBR Updates!
This was a pretty good week, well, OK, maybe not healthwise. It was shark week again and my perimenopause likes to make it extra spicy. So I spend some time in bed. But I also had some good moments. Like on Monday when it was Kingsday and we visited the children’s fleamarket and found some cute bracelets and earrings + some LEGO and then in the afternoon we checked out the horses and the racing. On Thursday I visited Library #1 and on Friday I visited Library #4 (plus, I did some shopping at two charity/second hand shops and found some cute summer clothes for cheap). On Friday I also baked some new brownies in my new baking tin + on Saturday I was finally able to make the cookies I had been planning all week. And today I will have visited my dad as his birthday is in 3 days. It’s been almost 3 months since I last saw him and I am super nervous, but thankfully both my hubby and my uncle/aunt are there so I should be safe and things should go fine. EDIT: writing this as my post has gone live. My body decided that it was too early, this night I woke up with nausea and I slept terribly and I am still not doing well. So I think it was just too early for me to visit.
Readingwise, I had a lot of fun and while I did have some DNF in overall this was a good week with books from my stack and from ComicsPlus!
What did I read from my TBR? Beauty en de nerd (this was such a cute novella), K-pop Academy (spotty translation but still a very fun read), Broosmoedig (this was OK, sometimes the font was hard to read), Ancient Chinese Architecture (this was such a gorgeous book and I learned some new things).
I tried and dropped (and at least tried a chapter or so)? The Ghostkeeper (too much dialogue/too much therapy stuff), Heartwood (Yawwwwwwwnnnn), Baren en moorden (too strange for me), Onder de Roos (I was already bored but when they took their phones with them on their time travel and the phones worked I was done).
And here is a big big new stack of books! I am so excited that I got so much choice this week and I cannot wait to start reading~

And that is the end of this post! I hope everyone has the best of Sundays and has a great week ahead of them with lots of fabulous books~ Let me know what kind of reading plans you have in the comments below! And I also want to thank everyone! I reached another all time views goal on my Boekeneiland blog, which is just amazing. 😍 😍
