Sunday’s TBR Updates ~ 31-5-2026
Hi all!

Happy Sunday, happy weekend, and a happy welcome to a new Sunday’s TBR Updates!
This week my health improved, so yay! I still had some moments in bed, but way less, so I am excited! Hopefully my health stays good. This week was a scorching with true summer weather and lots of me (and my hubby and Coco) melting, haha. I did some gardening to pick some weeds + check up on my plants now that I have used some anti slug/snail pellets (which are working like a charm) along with copper tape around some of the flower pots. Of course, like each week, I also baked! I prepared some oat cookies which I baked on Saturday. And I made another boterkoek, this time chocolate chip along with chocolate boterkoek, it is so yummy! On Friday I also visited Library #4 + checked my favourite thrift/second hand clothing stores and found some new summer clothes + a pair of fabulously looking converse shoes in pink. Saturday we had to pop by the garden centre for some food for Coco + I wanted to find a plant. And today I am just relaxing.
So a question for my garden peeps, I know I got a few, I am looking for plants that don’t mind shade/shadowy environments and that love to climb or grow really big. I got a spot in the back of my garden behind a tree near my shed that just doesn’t get sun (or just a small bit), and my garden centre is just no help. I would love something with flowers!
Reading-wise, this week was such a good one, I had fun reading several books, though I really want to read some more manga, hopefully next week~
What did I read from my TBR? Confessions of a Texan in Tokyo (I really had fun with this re-read), Schneeballen (another re-read and just so much fun), Wintermoor Lights (thanks for the nightmares, this was amazing), Steam (ahhhh so cute, and I loved the MC), Willowweep Manor (exciting, love the addition of a murder mystery universe + seeing our characters again), Adventuremice (oh my gosh, I want a hamstersaurus, oh and the story was fun), Museum (such an interesting book full of facts about museums and fun flaps to open), The Caretaker (Macy was horrendous, the ending meh, but I did like it in overall it was creepy), Van Bauhaus naar Mekka (I didn’t expect to love this as much I did), We maken pasta (not as good as the other books, this one missed a lot of steps), Vrouwen van Amsterdam (a fun/enjoyable and interesting read).
I tried and dropped (and at least tried a chapter or so)? Dream Girl Drama (rushed, weird, and instalove, nah), The Obsession (meh).
Here is a new pile with new books that came in this week along with new library books and of course some books left from the previous stack! It is a good stack and I am very excited! Oh, and since my Netgalley TBR has grow SO SO much this week, I also want to read from that.

And that is the end of this post! Thank you all for reading, wish me good luck, and be sure to comment on your reading or week plans, I am always so curious! Thank you to everyone who commented, gave my blog love, read my posts, liked them, and more, I know I say this each week, but I really appreciate it! I hope everyone has a great weekend and week, enjoy your books!
