The Finished Book Tag
Afternoon!

A very happy welcome to a sparkly new (at least for me) book tag! Today I am doing the very fun The Finished Book Tag which I found over at The Strawberry Post (check out their post). It looked like a fun book tag to do and not a super long one like some of the other book tags I was eyeing to do today, haha.
Let’s get started! This was fun!
1 β Do you keep a list of the books you have read?
Yup. On Goodreads! I tried also keeping track of a list on Storygraph but keeping two book lists up to date was too much effort/drained all the fun out of it, so I am now exclusively on Goodreads again. Books automatically go to my Read Shelf, but I also got a per year shelf that I started doing a few years back when my Read shelf became too big and I couldn’t access it easily + Goodreads yearly goal page is just so broken these days (duplicates everywhere) that I need this shelf even more.
2 β If you record statistics, what statistics do you record?
Statistics? Nah, not doing that. Unless you count rating/date/review.
3 β Do you give star ratings for books and if so, what do you score books out of and how do you come about this score?
Yes. I got some half-star shelves to help with that. 0 is the worst (that one is very very rare) 1 was terrible. 5 is awesome and 5+ is the bestest of best. How I come to that? Feels. How did the book made me feel. Sometimes while reading I just get a star rating in my head, I cannot explain it other than that, haha. Though the rating sometimes fluctuates. Either going higher or lower. Sometimes an ending could just change all the rating I had in my head. I have had books that started amazing and I would be thinking of giving it a 5 and then the ending came by and hop down to 2 or 3.
4 β Do you review books?
*waves around her blog* Yup. I do love to review! Or well, I used to review almost all the books I read in a year for my blog, but these days it is a select view. Other books may get a small review or nothing at all. It just got to the point it felt like I NEEDED to do a review instead of me WANTING to do a review. Now it is just all fun! Sometimes I can write a review without any effort, the words just fly out of my fingers, but other times it is a bit harder. But that is part of the fun.
5 β Where do you put your finished books?
Depends. If it is on Kindle I will remove it from the collection it is in and then once reviewed remove the download. If it is my own book it depends on the rating. 4.5 stars+ and it is going on the shelves (unless it is a new book then it stays on the stairs in the attic so I have all my books ready for my end of the month haul), 4 stars and lower it is going to a stack somewhere else that I hope to one day (so far not really successful) sell. If it is a library book it is going back to the library once I visit the library it belongs to.
6 β Do you have any other rituals for when you have finished a book?
Generally, I just grab the next book I have ready. No rituals. No dances. No sacrifices. Haha. Unless the book puts me in a slump, but generally manga helps against that.
And that is it for this very fun book tag! I am so glad I was able to do this one. I won’t be tagging anyone, as I know not everyone appreciates that + I don’t know who has done this one already, but if you do this one through this post let me know as I would LOVE to read everyone’s answers~ Thanks for reading, and I hope you all have a great day.
