A kick-ass, laugh-out-loud manga about a rich boy and his 3-minute bodyguard!

A book I got at first as an ARC, but due to how horrendous the quality of the scans was (see my BlueSky) I decided to wait until the book released. I am so happy I could read this book now, though the quality was atrocious the story seemed so fun!

Meet José. A boy who seems super-unlucky. Whenever he puts his rich ass outside he gets mugged/harassed by baddies. So what do you do when this keeps happening? You hire a bodyguard. Now I hear you think, oh that is great, so now he is always protected right? Nah. This guy only has the money to hire her for 3 minutes at a time. Which means that he still gets harassed but at least quite often manages to get out without scrapes. Though she at times just leaves him high and dry if the time is up, which means that sometimes he will be up on a steeple because she saved him and then time was over. Yup. I did have fun seeing her just appear out of nowhere and then kick some serious ass. Because this girl? Legs of steel. Arms of destruction. She looks all cute and sweet, but you better run if you encounter her and she is on the job.

And José is also trying to woo his bodyguard. Yup. He likes her. As in likes likes. He tries to find out what she likes. Tries to get cake for her. Tries to take her out on a date. I did think it was adorable to see him just get wooed by her and try to woo her. I am definitely rooting for him and I hope that he manages to tell her, obviously, before time is over, haha.

And that maid that we meet near the end? She is my favourite character. Sorry, I am a big fan of maids, and if they can just magic weapons out of nowhere from their skirts, sold. I hope we see more of her.

There were a few things that I wasn’t such a fan off. I didn’t get why he just kept going outside if that meant constant trouble. I would just stay inside. José at times was a bit too bratty for my liking. He acted like he owned the world and that always annoys me in characters. I also didn’t entirely like how Yoko was so stubborn about the time. As I said, sometimes he just gets left in trouble and I didn’t like that. I get that it may cost you a bit more time, but please make sure the guy is safe at least. Or that one time he wanted to treat her and before they could get started she was gone because of the limit, girl, please.

All in all, I cannot wait for the second volume. Sure, I had some issues, but in overall I had oodles of fun with this one and I am wondering if José will ever get more dates with Yoko-chan/confess his feelings.
