A rainy welcome to a new Waiting on Wednesday! I hope everyone is having a great week so far~

This week’s book is one I am super duper mega hyped about! Namely A Darker Shore: Letters from Ketterdam by Leigh Bardugo + E.K. Belsher! This is a small novella set in one of my favourite worlds/series: Grishaverse! Set to be released on 30th June. It is all about a mystery set after the events of Crooked Kingdom. There are going to be letters, documents, and more. Kaz is going to be there, and I seriously hope other characters as well. Plus, plus, plus, there is going to be illustrations! And I am just dying to get my hands on this book. And yes, I do want to get it in hardcover/paperback, though currently the prices listed are around 20 euro… so um, we will have to see if I will first read the kindle/ebook and then get the physical copy when it is a bit more doable. I mean, it is only 64 pages.

Anyway, anyone else looking forward to this one? Let me know in the comments!

In the years since the violent upheaval caused by the auction of Kuwei Yul-Bo, the merchants of Ketterdam have been under attack. Secret businesses exposed. Ships sunk. Slavers hunted as they once hunted their victims. All the work of a mysterious sea captain and her ship, the Wraith.

Now, two investigators meet to uncover the truth behind the latest disaster: a massacre on an island off the shores of Ketterdam. Among the evidence collected is private correspondence between notorious crime boss Kaz Brekker and an anonymous sailor aboard the Wraith known only as “I.”

Follow along with the lead investigator as he tries to piece together how such a disaster transpired, and explore the Grishaverse like never before with new illustrations by E.K. Belsher and in-world collectible items.
