🥰 Coding! I love seeing girls do coding and rock at it. I loved seeing both the coding club and also see Zoey work on the app. Plus, I also loved the parts she talked about coding and how it made her feel. We need more girls doing code!
🥰 I did like seeing Zoey discover something new, school! She has been home-schooled until now and it is time for her to discover school. I could understand she was anxious about it and that she worried that maybe it wouldn’t work. I am glad that she tried her best (even with the help of that app). I had fun seeing her get more and more comfortable there.
🥰 I loved seeing friendships begin as Zoey gets more comfy in school. OK, Morgan was a bitch at times, but as time went on I saw she was actually quite nice and I loved the friendship between the girls.
🥰 The art was a lot of fun! I really enjoy the style!

😒 Didn’t like how the parents just seemed to forget about their kid. I get it, they are working hard, but seriously. Your kid started school for the first time EVER and you just seem to ignore that. Instead of just making time for her or seemingly preparing her for what is going to happen they just worked worked worked. Plus, they even forget about her/didn’t respond to her messages/didn’t really seem to care that much about how things were truly going.
😒 CC was so fucking toxic and once again a reminder why I HATE characters like that (magical talking animals/beings). His attitude was horrible. He was mean. A bully. He used the phone to text/send messages to people. Even at a point threatening to blowing up her phone if she didn’t comply. I didn’t get why Zoey didn’t just stop with it and build something new. I mean if I was being bullied by code/an app I would delete that shit so fast.
😒 So many US high school clichés that at times I was rolling my eyes. It was a bit much.
😒 The ending? All of the sudden it was just done and over? It felt like we could have had more pages but now it was just like yeah we quit, bye. Which I was hoping to see, but again, not that fast.

All in all, disappointed in this one. It could have been good. If she wasn’t totally obsessed by the app and if the app was just an app and not also a talking AI thing that just needs to fuck off.
