Grab a book, open to a random page (either by flipping through it, using a randomizer, or let my husband pick), and pick a part of the book that speaks to me (can be anywhere from 2 to 6 sentences), add a cover, done.

Edit: This used to be on Thursday, but I am changing it to Tuesday as it works better that way.

She couldn’t imagine a life without any of them – even Grub, sitting in his mother’s arms, a psychopath in a slug onesie. Would he be the last of the Sprouts? He was starting to crawl, launching a reign of terror throughout the household. Nothing was safe from his needy grasp. Gafferty had overheard Dad considering building a cage to keep him in, and she wasn’t sure he was joking.

I picked 27% as I loved that part, it was this chapter that showed the cracks in the perfectness of everything.
“Of course she’s happy,” Mrs. Minke snaps, dropping her spoon onto the saucer with finality.
“We’re all happy, Maestro,” Mrs. Lyon pronounces brightly, but Sophia watches her dig her long nails like claws deep into the pale yellow arm of her sofa. “Positively blissful. Don’t you worry about us.”

I had Random.org select a % for me (this is an ebook) and it went with 19%! There were many great parts, but this one was the best.
It’s even colder tonight than it was last night, but I have the benefit of my warm wool coat now. The sky is clear and the moon and stars reflect sharply off the still water. I avoid the spot where Brie discovered Jessica’s body and hurry around the shore, making sure to keep under the cover of bushes so I’m not spotted. Now would not be a great time to get caught sneaking out.

Today I just flipped through the pages and came upon page 136. Haha, I would have also tried licking/eating the walls.
“Winter is our true reigning king. It’s long, dark and seemingly eternal. We won’t see a glimpse of sun for several moontides now. Besides which, the walls are enchanted; they cannot melt.”
Marietta was bewitched; magic was ingrained into the very fabric of this world.
“The palace, the gingerbread chalets and huts in the town, the marzipan whirls of apartment suites and cobblestones, all of it is locked in an immutable state. Spellbound to remain frozen. If you attempted to eat any of it, you’d break your teeth. Even the moose are wise enough not to take a nibble.”
Marietta was vaguely insulted. “I am certain I possess more intelligence than a moose,” she told Dellara, who shrugged and resumed examining her wardrobe.

I am currently reading this and I want to share this one with you all, it is on page 14.
Now, I know what you’re thinking Bubbles, aren’t you in a cage? But have you SEEN guinea pig cages? They are soooooo easy to get out of. You just reach up and unclick the fastener to the door. Usually I don’t bother. I mean, why would I? I have everything I need in my cage – food, water, some bedding to wee and poo on. I’ve got a big exercise wheel, although I don’t us that. What’s the point? You run and run and get NOWHERE!
So I unclicked the fastener, went downstairs, climbed up to the letterbox, pushed my way out and landed on the front path. Easy peasy.

Today I just flipped through the book and I stopped on page 154.
And I flopped straight down on top of Jagger.
And a terrifying clown sprang up from under the covers.
“AAAAAARRGGGHHHHHHH!” I screamed.
“AAAARRRRRGGGGGGH!”
After I screamed some more (which I won’t detail here), I saw it wasn’t a clown, or Jagger, but, in fact, a dummy dressed up as a clown, which Jagger had set up in his bed with a trigger switch and hydraulic piston system, probably designed to give his mum the scare of her life. That boy had too much time on his hands.

He leaned toward her, and Hazel’s heart slapped her in the face. For a second, she thought he was going to kiss her. Instead, he took a beer from the counter. Holding it with his wrapped hand, he twisted the cap off with his other. “Join me for a beer?”
Hazel pressed her lips together, telling her heart to settle down. For goodness’ sake. It was like she’d never been alone with a man before.

“They’re there, Frankie! I saw three or four of them at least! Jesus Christ, they’re actually there.”
Francis gripped her arm and said, “Come on, steady. What do they look like?”
“I don’t know! I don’t know! I only caught a glimpse of them before the mirror broke. They were all shadowy – but they looked like men – man, three or four men!”

“So, who is it?” I asked.
“Rumor is, it’s not even a dead person,” Anita said with a grin. “I read online it is a vampire that’s been put to sleep there for a long, long time and only The Hayes can keep him in there or let him out.”
“Stop spreading rumors,” Trino said. “The truth is we don’t know who’s in there. It’s an unmarked grave.”
Drake made spooky noises in the background.

Flipped through the book and landed on page 98 which really made me want to step into the book!
Morton’s library is what I dreamed libraries should look like when I was a little kid: nothing like the shabby bookshelves at my underfunded primary school. All three facing walls are decorated with floor-to-ceiling windows. Each has a “reading nook” built in and they are punctuated throughout with bookshelves that soar up to the high celling. The ceiling is a work of art itself, all original beams and plaster ceiling roses. They even have those massive ladders on wheels so you can get to the books right at the top – I swear I will have my Beauty and the Beast moment before I leave.
