Review for The Snow Child (Re-Read)
I first read this one in 2012 (also in December), and I thought it would be the perfect time to re-read this one. It is almost Christmas, at times it is quite cold outside, and so this book, with a winter theme is perfection. I only read this one before I went to sleep, snuggling up in bed, and then 30 minutes of wonderful reading time.
First Chapter First Paragraph Tuesday Intros ~ The Snow Child
Mabel had known there would be silence. That was the point, after all. No infants cooing or wailing. No neighbor children playfully hollering down the lane. No pad of small feet on wooden stairs worn smooth by generations, or clackety-clack of toys along the kitchen floor. All those sounds of her failure and regret would be left behind, and in their place there would be silence.
