Mr Wormwood led them into a small grove. the leaves of trees were all different colours: plum pinks, goldenrod yellows, dragonfly blues, and marmalade oranges. From the branches dangled apples, seemingly wrought from glittering gold.
“These apples!” Yesterday gasped. “I’ve never seen anything like them.”
